BOSTON – Recognizing the elite athletic careers, contributions and dedications that span school history, the Northeastern University Varsity Club Hall of Fame proudly announced on Monday the eight inductees that comprise its distinguished Class of 2020, featuring six alumni, one administrator and the first-ever Huskies team induction.

Representing the Hall of Fame Class of 2020 are Theresa Findlay (women's track & field), Veronica Napoli (women's soccer), Crystal Poland (field hockey), Peter Roby (administration), Mike Ryan (men's hockey), Florence Schelling (women's hockey), Jon Vickery (men's rowing) and the 1966 Northeastern baseball team.

To commemorate the induction of the Class of 2020, Northeastern will air a special Hall of Fame edition of its all-access television program,
Tales of the Howlin' Huskies, on NESN this Friday, Nov. 20,at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m.

Established in 1974, the Northeastern Varsity Club Hall of Fame features more than 250 inductees who have made standout contributions to the Northeastern athletics department, its varsity programs and the campus community. The Class of 2020 will mark the school's 43rd Hall of Fame class to date.

THERESA FINDLAYÂ '97Â //Â Women's Track & Field
• Seven-time America East individual champion and all-conference selection across the discus (1993, 1994, 1996), hammer throw (1994) and weight throw (1994-96) events.
• Remains in possession of the America East record for discus (160'1''), as set during the 1994 season.
• Three-time ECAC individual champion across the hammer throw (1996) and weight throw (1994, 1995) events.
• Two-time NCAA All-American, placing fourth nationally in the 1996 outdoor hammer throw and fifth nationally in the 1996 indoor weight throw.
VERONICA NAPOLIÂ '13Â //Â Women's Soccer
• Ranks as Northeastern's program record holder in career goals scored (36) and career points (89) while ranking third all-time in career assists (17).
• As a freshman, led the Huskies in goals (12), assists (five) and points (29) during their 2008 run to the CAA championship – the program's first such title – and the second round of the NCAA tournament.
• Three-time All-CAA selection … Named the 2008 CAA Rookie of the Year … Chosen to the 2008 NSCAA All-American Third Team and the 2008 NSCAA All-Region First Team.
CRYSTALÂ POLANDÂ '14Â //Â Field Hockey
• Ranks as Northeastern's program record holder in career goals scored (78) and career points (179).
• Twice ranked among the top five NCAA players in scoring, recording two of the three highest single-season goal tallies to date across program history: 28 goals (2012) and 27 goals (2011).
• Three-time NFHCA All-American (2010-12), including two First Team honors (2011, 2012) … Four-time NFHCA Northeast Region All-American selection (2009-12).
• Named the 2012 CAA Player of the Year and the 2009 CAA Rookie of the Year … Four-time All-CAA First Team honoree (2009-12).
PETER ROBYÂ //Â Athletic Director
• Served as the Northeastern athletic director from 2007 to 2018, during which he completed a five-year term as a member of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee.
• Led the Huskies to NCAA championship appearances in 15 programs during his directorship, including berths in men's basketball (2015), men's ice hockey (2016, 2018) and women's ice hockey (2016, 2018).
• Oversaw Northeastern's consistent academic achievement from 2007 on as the Huskies' student-athletes combined to attain a 3.0 GPA or better for more than 20 consecutive semesters.
• Named one of the 100 Most Influential Sports Educators in America by the Institute for International Sport (October 2007).
MIKE RYANÂ '03Â //Â Men's Hockey
• Captained Northeastern during the 2002-03 season, leading the Huskies in goals (18) and points (32).
• Three-time Northeastern single-season goals leader (2000-03).
• Named the 2002-03 Northeastern Men's Hockey Most Valuable Player … Chosen as the 2002 Huskies Radio Award honoree … Recipient of the team's 2001 Managers Award.
• Selected by the Dallas Stars during the second round of the 1999 NHL Draft … Played professionally in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres (2006-08) and the Carolina Hurricanes (2008-09), competing professionally through 2016.
FLORENCE SCHELLING '13 // Women's Hockey
• Upon graduating, ranked as Northeastern's program record holder in career minutes played (5,878), career goals against average (1.74) and career save percentage (.940) – currently ranked second all-time across all such categories.
• Named a top-three finalist for the 2011-12 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, as presented to the top women's collegiate ice hockey player … Two-time AHCA Division I All-American selection (2009-10, 2011-12)
• Two-time Hockey East Player of the Year (2009-10, 2011-12) … Named the 2011-12 Hockey East Goalie of the Year … Two-time Bauer Goaltending Champion in Hockey East.
• Four-time Olympic goaltender for Switzerland, earning the bronze medal at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
JON VICKERYÂ '92Â //Â Men's Rowing
• Captained Northeastern during his senior season (1991), co-leading the Huskies to their first-place finish at the IRA championship regatta.
• Rowed for two NU crews that earned runner-up placements at the National Collegiate Rowing Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio (1989, 1991).
• Recipient of the 1990 Boathouse Award for contributions to Northeastern rowing … Received the 1988 Parker Award for Outstanding Northeastern Freshman.
• After graduating, placed third in the 1992 Olympic doubles trials and reached the semifinals of the singles trials.

1966 NORTHEASTERN BASEBALL TEAM
• Became the Northeastern baseball program's first team to ever win the Greater Boston College Baseball League (GBCBL), hoist the NCAA District I crown and advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
• Set the school record at the time for single-season victories (18) upon defeating Boston College during the NCAA District I championship game at Fenway Park.
• Ranked No. 8 nationally in the year-end NCAA baseball poll – the program's highest such ranking to date.
