PORTLAND -- Standout women's soccer alumna Hanna Terry '14 has signed on with the Portland Thorns FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the club announced Friday, July 25.

Terry previously suited up for the Thorns as an amateur player against the Washington Spirit on June 15, but will join the first team for the remainder of the current season.

"Hanna has all the ingredients to become an impact player in the league: speed, skill, finishing ability and work ethic," said Thorns FC head coach Paul Riley on the team's official website. "She is an investment for the future and a player that could help us in the 'business' part of the season."

Terry led the Huskies to the 2013 CAA championship and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament after recording five points (two goals, one assist) in three games. The Park City, Utah, native was twice named first-team All-CAA and graduated with 14 career assists, the fourth most in program history.

Terry was not the only Northeastern women's soccer alumna to ink a professional contract on Friday. Veronica Napoli, who graduated in 2013 as the program's all-time leading scorer, signed on with FC Twente in the Netherlands on July 25 as well.
