PRINCETON, N.J. – The rainy weather held off just long enough for the Northeastern women's rowing team last weekend, which competed at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie on Sunday morning. The Huskies had three boats entered in the varsity eights race, with the first varsity finishing 10th overall.
With Madison Mailey in the stroke seat and Samantha Shulman as the coxswain, the Huskies went up against the likes of Virginia, Princeton, Brown, North Carolina and Duke, among several others, finishing with a time of 14:36.111.
Northeastern's second varsity, led by coxswain Kiera Bohen and stroke seat Rose Flanagan, would take 21st overall at 15:06.746, while the third varsity of coxswain Sara Corey took 35th in the 52 boat field (15:34.255).
The Huskies will close out the fall slate on Nov. 11 back in Boston at the Foot of the Charles.
