BOSTON – After averaging 19.5 points per game and leading the Northeastern men's basketball team to a pair of victories last week, junior guard Rashad King has been named the CAA Player of the Week.

This is the first career conference accolade for King, who also averaged 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in Northeastern's 2-0 week. The Evans, Ga. native contributed a team-high 16 points, a season-best nine rebounds and seven assists in an 82-68 victory over La Salle on Tuesday and followed with a team-high 23 points and eight boards in a 78-75 win over Colgate on Sunday.

For the week, Evans shot 66.7% (14-21) from the floor, including 4-of-8 (50%) from 3-point range.

King leads the team, and is fifth in the CAA, averaging 17.2 points per game including three 20+ point nights this season. He is also leading the league with 42 assists through 10 games.

King and the Huskies will be back in action on Sunday when Northeastern travels to Old Dominion for a 1 p.m. tip-off on ESPN+.
