BOSTON – Northeastern fans: time is running out to secure your seats for Saturday night's Hockey East contest between the No. 19 Northeastern men's ice hockey team and No. 8 Boston College. Be sure to purchase your tickets today to see the conference rivals square off at Matthews Arena at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices start at just $10 to catch the Huskies in action on Saturday. Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear black, and NU will be giving out free t-shirts to students in the DogHouse prior to the game.

Northeastern is 5-1-0 on the young season, and is off to its best start since the 1980-81. Currently ranked 19th in the latest USCHO.com poll, the Huskies lead the nation with 30 goals scored, and are also tied for the nation's lead with 5.00 goals per game.

Northeastern is led by sophomore forward Kevin Roy, whose 12 points lead all scorers this season. Roy has at least one point in every game this season, including a hat trick on opening night against Alabama-Huntsville. He has been flanked by senior Braden Pimm, who has already matched his goal total from a season ago with six so far this season. Pimm is tied for sixth in the nation in goals per game (1.00), and tied for first in the country in power play goals.

The Huskies' 12-member rookie class, tied for the most freshmen in the country, has accounted for seven goals and 29 assists, which is 44% of Northeastern's scoring. Mike Szmatula has a goal and 10 assists to lead the NU rookies, and is leading the nation in freshman scoring with 1.83 points per game.

Northeastern will first square off with the Eagles on Friday night in NU's Hockey East opener at 8 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on NBCSN.

Fans attending Saturday's game are reminded of the Matthews Arena security policy, which prohibits any outside food or beverages, as well as large bags or backpacks, from entering the arena. Read the full list of prohibited items here.
