Paul Wilson (class of 1990) was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Northeastern men’s swimming team in each of his four seasons as a Husky between 1985 and 1989.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Wilson holds Northeastern men’s swimming team records in six events: the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, the 200-yard individual medley, the 200- and 400-yard medley relay, and the 800-yard freestyle relay.

In four years competing at the New England Men’s Swimming Championships, he was undefeated in both the 100- and 200- yard breaststroke, and won 10 overall titles. Wilson was awarded the Charles  Batterman Award, given to the swimmer who over four years achieves the highest point total at the New England Championships.

A team captain during the 1989 season, he placed at the Eastern Collegiate Championship in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke. Outside of Northeastern, Wilson finished 14th in the U.S. Junior National Championships in the 200-yard backstroke, and went on to become the head coach of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School girl’s swimming team in 1990.
