Northeastern University Athletics

Established in 1974, the Varsity Club Hall of Fame recognizes Northeastern University's most impactful and outstanding student-athletes, coaches and benefactors. 

Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility shall not begin until five years after the student-athlete's last year of competition. Any former Northeastern University alumnus who has earned his or her letter in any sport considered to have varsity status or has achieved superior accomplishments is eligible for nomination. The nominee shall be chosen on the basis of playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and his or her contribution to the team or teams on which he or she played, and to Northeastern University. Added consideration shall be given for outside activities, such as enhancement of Northeastern University athletics programs, community life and professional attainments which have enhanced his or her prestige and have added honor to Northeastern University.
 
Please note: Former Northeastern student-athletes who are still playing professionally and would be unable to attend the induction ceremony due to their season schedule become eligible for the Varsity Club Hall of Fame at the conclusion of their professional careers. This decision was made by the selection committee in the hope that the former student-athlete would be able to attend the induction ceremony should he/she be voted into the Hall of Fame.
