Britney Brown of the volleyball team has been named Northeastern's Student-Athlete of the Week. Brown led the Huskies to a pair of key victories this past weekend to keep playoff hopes alive for the CAA Tournament. In a 3-1 win over UNC Wilmington on Friday, Brown posted 14 kills and added 15 assists for her 12th double-double of the season and 34th of her career. She also had six digs and four blocks in the game.

On Saturday, Brown had a career day, notching a career-highs of  20 kills and 15 digs as well as 22 assists for a triple-double in the Huskies 3-1 victory over Georgia State. Brown also continued her defensive prowess in the game by posting six blocks.

Brown is the team leader in kills with 274 and second on the team with 403 assists. She has recorded four triple-doubles on the season.

The Huskies return to action on Friday, November 13 as it takes on CAA-leading Delaware at 5 p.m. at Solomon Court.
