The Northeastern Huskies men's soccer team was defeated by Stony Brook today at Parsons Field 2-0. The shutout marked the Seawolves sixth of the season improving their record to 7-1, as the Huskies drop to 4-6 on the year.
Stony Brook's Shane Arikian got the Seawolves on the board early in the first half as he headed Alton Allen's cross past NU goalie Allan Lewis.
The game was scoreless for nearly the next 70 minutes until Stony Brook's Juan Serna blasted a 30-yard shot over the hands of a outstretched Lewis.
It was first time all season the Huskies have been shutout, and their first since their 1-0 loss to Towson in overtime of the first round of the America East Championship.
