Northeastern improved to 6-6 on the season and 3-1 in America East play with a 1-0 victory over New Hampshire in Durham. After a scoreless first half, Northeastern scored the game's only goal at 59:15 when the Huskies were awarded a penalty kick. Peter Starnas shot the ball low and left to convert and give the Huskies a 1-0 lead, which it would not relinquish.
Starnas nearly gave NU a 2-0 lead in the 64th minute when he headed a ball off the right side of the crossbar. UNH also had several chances to tie the game. Northeastern nearly headed the ball into its own net in the 81st minute, and UNH freshman Nicola Chicco headed a ball that sailed just over the crossbar. The game was evenly played throughout, as the Wildcats owned a slim 13-12 shot advantage for the game. Wildcat junior Shaun O'Neil had his scoreless streak snapped at 265:07. He turned away six shots for UNH. Allen Lewis stopped four shots for the Huskies to record the shutout.
