PHILADELPHIA - The Northeastern University men's soccer team defeated America East opponent 4-1 on Friday night in Philadelphia. All four of NU's goals came in the second half.
Senior forward Anders Hoyem scored one goal and assisted on junior forward Nate Houghton's game-winning goal at the 51:46 mark. NU's first two goals came within just over three minutes of each other, with senior defender Chris Beston knocking in a header off a pass from sophomore midfielder Antho Kirkopoulos 3:30 into the second half for their score.
NU goalie Allan Lewis had seven saves for the victory as the Huskies improve to 5-3 on the season and 1-1 in America East action. Drexel falls to 4-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
