Northeastern fell to Holy Cross 1-0, Tuesday afternoon in Worcester. The Huskies drop to 3-4-2 on the season, after winning their last two matches.
Holy Cross took a 1-0 lead when junior forward William Stewart tallied his first goal of the season after he intercepted a pass, beat his defender, and netted the ball over NU goalkeeper Sergio Saccoccio's outstretched arms. The goal came in the 61st minute of the game, and proved to be the game-winner.
Northeastern was outshot 11-5, for its lowest shot total of the season. Saccoccio made five saves for the Huskies, who next play Oct. 2, when they host Dartmouth at Parsons Field, starting at 3 p.m.
