Box Score The Huskies lost to Butler in their second game of the season 2-0 in Louisville, Ky. on Monday afternoon. Senior Lewis Ehrlich led NU with three shots on goal and keeper Scott Partridge had another solid game with seven saves made.
Junior Alexander Volk and Sophomore Matt Pentkowski both added one shot in the game. The Huskies were outshot for the second time in a row, however they limited Butler to only one corner kick. The Huskies allowed 14 corners in the game against Louisville on Saturday.
Butler's Frank Patano, who now has three goals on the season, scored both goals in the game. The first came in the first half where he scored on a cross from teammate Brett Heinz at 31:26. In the second half, Patano scored on a shot that deflected off of Partridge and went in at 59:19.
Lewis Ehrlich has been the Huskies' offense with one goal and eight shots (five on goal) in the first two games. Scott Partridge has shined on defense, starting both games and making 15 saves. Partridge missed most of last season due to injury.
The Huskies are on again this Saturday, Sept. 6 at Fairfield University at 7 p.m.
