Sophomore diver
Rachael Peterson finished the 2009-10 swimming and diving season this weekend as the Huskies lone representative at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship at Rutgers. Peterson finished 32nd in the 1-meter dive and 35th in the 3-meter dive.
Peterson's 1-meter score of 189.75 was good enough for eighth best among CAA divers, while her 3-meter score of 188.90 was also good enough for ninth in the Colonial.
The Wellesley, Mass. native had a successful year for the Huskies, winning seven individual events. Peterson captured the 3-meter dive four times and the 1-meter dive three times.
Peterson earned her spot at the Zone A Championship when her winning 1-meter dive of 270.37 on January 23 against Vermont automatically qualified her.
