Koelle added two more victories to her afternoon, winning the 200 butterfly (2:04.78) and 100 butterfly (55.82).

Senior captain Julia Alvarez won the 100 breaststroke in dominant style, as her 1:05.43 finish was more than four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The Eagles' Melissa Merwin placed second with a time of 1:09.87.

In the afternoon's eighth event, Schegoleva won the 50 freestyle with a time 24.58.

Through the first eight events, the Huskies held a commanding 108-42 lead by claiming first-place finishes in each event.

Boston College earned a first-place finish when Maureen Barron timed in at 53.98 in the 100 free, but it didn't take long for NU to get on the winning track.

Schegoleva finished first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.06, and Alvarez placed first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:26.37.

Foran continued Northeastern's dominant performance by finishing the 500 freestyle in 5:10.40. Adriana Sepulveda (5:11.60) and Rachael Geiger (5:14.12) followed Foran to claim second and third place, respectively, for the Huskies.

"I'm extremely happy with the way we kicked off the season," said Northeastern head coach Roy Coates. "The team was ready to go and performed above my expectations. Moving forward we want to continue to progress and build off what we established today."

The Huskies compete next when they travel to New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 26 for a 12 p.m. meet with the Wildcats.
