Season StatsNEWARK, Del. – Frantzdy Pierrot scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the second minute of extra time, to send the Northeastern men's soccer team (6-9-0, 3-2-0) to a 3-2 come from behind victory at Delaware on Wednesday afternoon at Grant Stadium.

Trailing 2-1 with less than 20 minutes left in regulation,
Ackim Mpofu potted the equalizer to force overtime before Pierrot sent NU to its third win in extra time this season. After the Huskies earned a corner early in overtime,
Daniel Arvidsson sent the ball into the box before it was knocked down and landed on the foot of Pierrot, who sent it past UD goalkeeper Borja Barbero (three saves) on the right side.

Delaware outshot the Huskies 14-8 in the match as both squads earned seven corner bids. NU goalkeeper
Jacob Aduama made five saves in his first action of the season to backstop the Huskies to their third conference win of the season.

The Huskies bolted out to a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when Pierrot buried his third goal of the season. UD, which outshot Northeastern 6-2 in the opening 45 minutes, netted the equalizer with 8:19 to play in the half to send the teams into the locker room deadlocked. Pierrot gave NU its first goal in three matches when he controlled the ball along the right side before sidestepping a defender and sending a shot past Barbero and into the left side of the cage.

The Blue Hens began to take control of the match after the Pierrot tally, peppering Aduama with several shots towards the cage. Aduama made two saves in the first half, and dealt with six Delaware corner opportunities. UD leveled the score at one with less than 10 minutes to play in the half when Ben Asante took a long cross from Marco Silverio and sent a diving header inside the left post and past Aduama for his third goal of the season.

Coming out of the break, UD continued to pressure the Huskies, and took its first lead of the afternoon in the 49th minute. After Northeastern was whistled for a handball just outside the box, the Blue Hens were awarded a free kick from 19 yards out near the middle of the pitch. Guillermo Delgado took the kick for Delaware, and sent a low shot under the NU wall and past the dive of Aduama into the right side of the net for Delgado's 11th of the year.

The score would stay that way until the 72nd minute when the Huskies capitalized on a corner chance.
Donovan Fayd'Herbe de Maudave began the play by inserting the ball from the left side before Mpofu sent a header into the middle of the net for his third goal of the season.

Aduama saw plenty of action throughout the remainder of regulation, upping his total to five saves through 90 minutes of play, sending the teams to overtime.

In the first minute of extra time, the Huskies earned an early corner opportunity before Arvidsson sent a ball into the box, allowing Pierrot to get a foot on the loose ball and knock it into the right side for the game-winner.

The Huskies will return home on Saturday to host William & Mary on Parsons Field at 6 p.m.
