BROOKLYN, N.Y. – After day one of competition, the Northeastern swimming and diving team holds a substantial lead on both LIU Brooklyn and Wagner in the Blackbirds' tri-meet. The Huskies outscored the Seahawks by a 56.5-34.5 margin and raced to a 74-15 advantage over the hosts. Through the first five scored events, Northeastern has notched nine first place finishes against the two teams, sweeping the top spot in both relays and medley events.

Rookies led the charge with Megan Clark and Miriam Schaefer each grabbing two first place finishes. Clark took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.12 and Schaefer won the 200 individual medley clocking 2:11.44.
