BOSTON – Redshirt senior Paige Savage scored two goals and junior Halle Silva added a goal and an assist as the Northeastern women's hockey team (17-9-3) advanced to the Beanpot championship game for the fifth time in the last six seasons with a 4-1 victory over Harvard (3-16-3) on Tuesday evening at Matthews Arena. 

Savage and Silva were joined on the scoresheet by junior McKenna Brand, who netted her NCAA-leading 22nd goal of the season with a power-play strike late in the third period. Junior Denisa Krizova added two assists, while sophomore Brittany Bugalski was excellent in goal with 28 saves on 29 shots, including 13 stops in the third period. 

The Huskies will face Boston College in the Beanpot final on Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. after the Eagles defeated Boston University, 3-2, in the first semifinal. 

Goal Recaps
• Silva gave Northeastern the lead just 59 seconds into the game when she redirected a Paige Capistran point-shot inside the right post to make it 1-0 Huskies.
• Northeastern doubled the advantage at the 7:39 mark of the opening frame. Off a faceoff win by freshman Matti Hartman, Savage gathered the puck at the left dot and found Silva open behind the net. Silva returned the puck to Savage, who fired a shot along the ice and inside the left post from an impossible angle to make it 2-0.
• Harvard cut the lead in half when Lexie Laing collected a rebound in the right corner, before curling into the slot and backhanding a shot over the glove of Bugalski at the 8:49 mark of the second period. 
• Savage gave NU its two-goal lead back at 14:03 of the second period when she forced a turnover in the Harvard zone, before cutting to the net and tucking a backhand through the five-hole of Harvard netminder Molly Tissenbaum. 
• Northeastern pushed the lead to 4-1 with a power-play goal from Brand at 12:18 of the third period. After Tissenbaum made an initial save on Brand's redirection off a Hayley Scamurra shot, Brand was able to cash in on the rebound at the left of the cage for her NCAA-leading 22nd goal of the year.

• Northeastern advanced to its fifth Beanpot final in the last six seasons.
• NU scored with its first shot of the game for the second straight contest.
• The Red & Black moved to 15-2-1 this season when scoring the first goal of the game.
• The Huskies beat Harvard for the first time since a 4-3 decision in the 2014 Beanpot semifinals. 
• The Huskies outshot the Crimson by a 34-29 margin.
• NU went 1-for-5 on the power play and held killed off all three Harvard power plays.
• Redshirt senior Paige Savage posted her first multi-goal performance of the season.
• Denisa Krizova extended her point-streak to five straight games with two assists.
• Halle Silva extended her point-streak to three straight games with a goal and an assist.
