BOSTON – Sophomore
Chance Lamberth finished in fourth place at the New England Championships on Saturday. The women's and men's cross country teams finished in 7th place and 8th place, respectively, in the third race of the year.
The women averaged a time of 18:51 in the 5k totaling 194 points, just three points away from fifth place. Sophomore
Louiza Wise led the Red and Black finishing in 14th place with a time of 18:24, while averaging 5:55.
Seniors
Brooke Wojeski and
Lucy Young were not far behind her with times of 18:33 and 18:46, respectively.
The men averaged an 26:18 8k and posted 243 points. Lamberth posted a time of 25:28 in the best finish of his collegiate career, averaging 5:07. Junior
Dan Romano (26:12) and senior
James Garbier (26:26) also lead the Huskies, averaging 5:16 and 5:19, respectively.
Next Up
The Huskies will back in action at the Central Connecticut State on October 20th in New Britain, Connecticut.
