BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont's Eve-Audrey Picard netted a hat trick, including the game-winning goal with 12 seconds remaining in the third period, to propel the Catamounts (8-16-4, 5-11-3 WHEA) to a weekend sweep of the Northeastern women's hockey team (13-12-3, 9-9-3 WHEA) in a 4-3 triumph on Saturday at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
In a back-and-forth affair, Northeastern grabbed a 2-1 lead early in the third period on a snipe by sophomore
Andrea Renner, before Vermont responded with consecutive goals to grab a lead with just over five minutes to play.

Codie Cross brought the Huskies back with the game-tying goal at 17:56 of the final frame, but NU could not make the scoreline stand as Picard swept home a loose puck in the crease to give the hosts the win in the final seconds.
Senior
Lauren Kelly scored a power-play goal in the first period for her seventh strike in the last 10 games, while freshman
Veronika Pettey dished out two assists.
Freshman
Aerin Frankel took the loss between the pipes with 23 saves on 27 shots.
