BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore
Katie Cipra notched her first two collegiate points with a goal and an assist to help the No. 8 Northeastern women's hockey team (7-1-1, 6-0-1 WHEA) to its sixth straight win with a 4-1 victory at Vermont (1-4-2, 1-4-0 WHEA) on Tuesday at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
With the win, the Huskies set a new program record for their best seven-game start to a Hockey East season at 6-0-1, topping the previous program best of 6-1-0 set in both 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Freshman
Alina Mueller tallied her first collegiate three-point game with the game-winning goal and two assists, and freshman
Chloe Aurard and senior
Tori Sullivan also lit the lamp.
Sophomore
Aerin Frankel picked up the win with 13 saves on 14 shots as the Huskies doubled up the Catamounts, 28-14, in the shot department.
Northeastern also killed off all six Vermont power-plays and have now successfully negated 33 consecutive penalties dating back to Oct. 6.
The Huskies will look to keep rolling on Friday at Holy Cross at 7 p.m.
