Postgame Interview
BOSTON – The No. 9 Northeastern women's hockey team erased a two-goal, second-period deficit to earn a 3-3 tie at Boston University on Saturday at Walter Brown Arena.
Senior goaltender
Brittany Bugalski stopped 34 shots, including 19 saves over the course of the final 25 minutes that included three dangerous BU power-plays.
Freshman
Alina Mueller and sophomore
Veronika Pettey each recorded a goal and an assist, and sophomore
Brooke Hobson also lit the lamp as the Huskies (1-0-1, 1-0-1 WHEA) claimed three out of a possible four league points to open the year.

• Jesse Compher opened the scoring for BU just 2:40 into the opening period when she shoveled a rebound past
Brittany Bugalski from the low slot.
• Hobson leveled the score on the power-play at 4:48 with a one-timer from the right point that snuck through the pads of Corinne Schroeder following an assist from
Gillian Foote.
• The Terriers scored the final two goals of the first period to take a 3-1 lead through 20 minutes. Sammy Davis lit the lamp at 10:38 with a backhand inside the left post, before Nara Elia added to the hosts' lead with a power-play strike at 18:52.
• Mueller scored her first collegiate goal to pull the Huskies within one at 11:27 of the second period. After taking a feed from
Maddie Hartman, Mueller found space at the top of the left circle and rocketed a slap-shot inside the right post.
• Pettey tied the game on the power-play at 13:20 of the second stanza, roofing a rebound at the left of the cage following a point-shot by
Codie Cross.
