ORONO, Maine -- Rookies Chloe Aurard and Mia Brown led the offensive drive in Northeastern's late comeback in Saturday's afternoon game against the Maine Black Bears. The Huskies wrapped up their weekend series in Orono with a 3-3 overtime tie to bring home a point, and extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games.

Though outscored in the first period, the Huskies controlled the puck for the majority of the first fifteen minutes of play, including eight minutes on the power play, and 27 shots over Maine's 14. However, the Black Bears sent in two goals late in the first period to gain a two-goal edge on the Huskies.

Northeastern (11-1-2, 10-0-2 WHEA) brought back the energy in the second period, as Chloe Aurard opened the scoring for Northeastern on the power play, assisted by Brooke Hobson and Alina Mueller.

Maine recorded a power play goal later in the second, only to be promptly answered by Northeastern's Mia Brown, assisted by Paige Capistran and Tori Sullivan. The freshman tipped in Capistran's blast to reduce the lead once again, with the Huskies trailing the Black Bears 3-2. The goal marks Brown's first collegiate goal.

Chloe Aurard burst into the third period with her second goal of the night, assisted by Tori Sullivan, to tie up the game 3-3. The goal effectively extends the rookie's multi-point game streak to five, and denotes her first collegiate two-goal game.

After a scoreless overtime, with 4 shots apiece, the Huskies and Black Bears finished off their weekend series in a 3-3 tie.
