CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – Northeastern swimming and diving earned a program-best fourth place finish at the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association Championships on Saturday. The Huskies posted 477.5 points over the four-day competition, the most points at a CAA Championship in Northeastern history.

Megan Clark claimed her third CAA title of the meet in the 100 freestyle. The Virginia native is just the third athlete in CAA Championship history to win the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events at the same title meet. Â

Clark posted a time of 48.84 in the 100 freestyle prelims, breaking her own school record from earlier this season. She took first in the finals with a time of 48.88.

Northeastern finished up the meet with a gold medal in the 400 freestyle relay, the first in program history. The relay team of Clark,
Sara Touchette-McGowan,
Sidney Smith and
Matilda Weiler swam a program-record time of 3:21.95.

The Husky relays had a standout meet, securing podium-finishes in four out of the five relay events, including three gold medals.
Â
On the diving side, seniors
Alyssa Seales,
Jacquelyn Gover and
Caroline Gonsalves all advanced to the one-meter diving finals. Seales took fourth place, while Gover and Gonsalves finished 13th and 15th, respectively.

The Huskies finished the meet with 10 medals, nine school record times and 13 championship final qualifiers.
