No. 4 Huskies take down No. 9 Terriers, 2-1

BOSTON— Mia Brown scored the game-winner as the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team claimed the come-from-behind victory over the No. 9 Boston University Terriers, 2-1, at Walter Brown Arena on Friday night.

Brooke Hobson scored her second goal of the season on the power-play and Mia Brown tapped in her second game-winner of the season, with both goals coming in the third period. The Huskies (6-1-0) now move to a 3-1-0 mark in Hockey East play with their first victory over a ranked opponent this season.

Alina Mueller and Veronika Pettey assisted Hobson's goal, while Kate Holmes and Peyton Anderson combined on Brown's game-winner as six Huskies claimed points in the victory.

The Terriers (5-2-1, 2-2-1) scored first at the 5:56 mark of the second period, but would not be able to find another as the Huskies scored two goals in the third stanza. BU goaltender Corinne Schroeder finished with 35 saves for the Terriers.

Netminder Aerin Frankel had a solid performance between the pipes for the Huskies, notching 22 saves in the victory. Northeastern held the overall edge in shots, 37-23, and the Huskies' defense held BU to just four shots on goal in the second period.
