BOSTON— Katy Knoll potted the game-winner as the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team claimed the 2-1 victory over Maine on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena. The Huskies are now riding a seven-game winning streak following the victory.Â
Skylar Fontaine put the Huskies ahead 1-0 at the 13:41 mark of the first period, with a rocket of a shot from the dot.
Alina Mueller and
Chloe Aurard assisted on the Huskies 20th first period goal this season.

Maine (5-6-2, 3-5-1 HEAW) was able to even the score in the second period at 1-1, but
Katy Knoll came firing back in the third period to give Northeastern (12-1-0, 9-1-0 HEAW) the 2-1 victory. Mueller and
Brooke Hobson combined for the assists on Knoll's third goal of the season.

Aerin Frankel had 20 saves on the day and grabbed her 11
th win of the season. Maine's goaltender Carly Jackson finished with 37 saves in the loss.

The Huskies and Maine will be back in action to close out the series on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m.
