Swartz named Hartford Athletic Team MVP

BOSTON— Northeastern men's soccer alumnus Harry Swartz ended his first professional season with the Hartford Athletic of the United Soccer League (USL) and was named the club's MVP. Additionally, Swartz has agreed to a new contract to be back with the club in 2020.

Swartz was named the club's MVP, an award voted on by the team, after showing off his versatility in his first season with Hartford, starting at three different positions (right back, right wing and forward) through 20 appearances. The Needham, Massachusetts native had five goals, three assists and 23 chances created in 2019.

During his time at Northeastern, Swartz made 71 collegiate appearances and 62 starts. A three-time captain, he earned two All-CAA selections (2017, 2018) and was named to the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's All-Atlantic Region Third Team.
