WAKEFIELD, Mass.— After garnering Hockey East monthly honors for November, junior goaltender

Katy Knoll of the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team were recognized with national honors on Thursday by the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association (WHCA).

Frankel earns this honor for the second time in her career after being named the inaugural National Goaltender of the Month in October of 2018. Knoll claimed National Rookie of the Month honors for the first time in her career and is the third Northeastern player to receive the honor.

Frankel posted a 6-1-0 record during November, with a .963 save percentage and .86 GAA. The Briarcliff, N.Y. native currently leads the country with four shutouts, with three coming last month. Frankel currently ranks third in the country in GAA (.945) and second in save percentage (.958).

Knoll compiled three goals and eight assists during November, including one five-point performance (1g, 4a). The Amherst, N.Y. native led all freshman in the country with eight assists, 11 points, two game-winning goals and a plus-14 rating.

Frankel, Knoll and Huskies will next hit the ice for their last game of the decade on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. against Vermont in Matthews Arena.
