Boston University edges Northeastern in 2OT, 1-0

BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team fell to Boston University, 1-0, Thursday night when the Terriers struck in the 102nd minute of the second overtime period. 

Northeastern (2-4-0) started the match with a flurry of activity in front of Boston University's (1-5-1) goal, with five corners in the first 15 minutes to go with five shots. However, the first half ended scoreless and the match pushed into a tight defensive battle in the second.
 
After another scoreless half, the game headed into the first overtime period where goalkeeper Megan Adams made a huge save to send the match into a second overtime period. Adams ended the match with five saves.
 
In the second overtime, Geo Pereira was able to launch one from outside the box in the 102nd minute to give the Terriers the 1-0 win.
 
Northeastern ended the match outshooting the Terriers, 17-12. Olivia Ware and Chelsea Domond had good looks for the Huskies throughout and led Northeastern with four shots each.

Northeastern will return to Parsons Field after a three-game road stretch to host San Francisco on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.
