BROOKLINE, Mass.—
The Northeastern men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Merrimack, in Monday night action at Parsons Field.

Northeastern (0-2-0) took a 1-0 lead into halftime against the Warriors (1-0-0), but following a weather delay, that was just under two hours long, Merrimack was able to put away two goals in the second half to claim the win.

Sophomore Benjamin Klingen struck first for the Huskies, with assists from senior Aiman Ginawi and freshman Liam Murphy. Klingen made a run in to the box and knocked it in from close range just past the Merrimack keeper.

Klingen's goal was the first of his Northeastern career, and the first goal for the Huskies in 2019.

Merrimack's two-goal second half saw Marc Torrellas score in the 58th minute and Tola Showunmi score the game-winner in the 78th minute.
