JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. – The Northeastern men's and women's cross country teams competed with some of the nation's best at the annual Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown hosted by Boston College in nearby Franklin Park. The men's team finished in 16th place and the women finished in 22nd place. Â

The women got things started with the 5K race, kicking off as the first event of the day.
Kelsey Walak and
Juliet Bussell led the way for Northeastern, each finishing with a time of 19:33 in the event. Â

The women's overall average time was 19:46 on the 5K course.

Cameron Dickson paced the men's team finishing in 19th place overall with a time of 24:49 in the 8K.

Alexander Korczynski and
Eric Clay were the other two men's runners to place in the top-100 with times of 25:10 and 25:57, respectively. The men's team average time was 25:43 on the 8K course.
