WAKEFIELD, Mass.— Northeastern's
Jordan Harris has been named Hockey East's Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. Harris led the Huskies with two goals and three assists en route to an opening weekend home-and-home sweep over Merrimack (
story).
This is the Haverhill, Mass. natives first career Hockey East Player of the Week award. The Montreal Canadiens draft pick was named an assistant captain this season and has six goals and 33 assists during his 74 games with the Huskies. Last season, Harris played for the U.S. National Junior Team in the IIHF World Junior Championship.
The Huskies look to add an upcoming series this weekend. An announcement should come out shortly.
