BOSTON - Northeastern Athletics announced the executive leaders of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on Monday. Rising senior
Sammy Shupe (volleyball) will serve as president for the 2020-21 season, while
Adam Gostomelsky (men's soccer),
Jordan Harris (men's hockey),
Moyawa Osunsami (men's track and field) and
Bailey Smith (women's swimming and diving) will lead this year's SAAC EBoard.
The mission of the Northeastern University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to provide a vehicle for effective communication between student-athletes and the athletics administration; provide leadership opportunities; create a sense of community within the athletics department; encourage participation in University programs; promote a positive student-athlete image on campus; engage student-athletes in programs that reinforce athletics department ideals of Classroom Success, Community Involvement, and Competitive Excellence; and promote the overall development of the student-athlete as a person in order to enhance the student-athlete experience.
