BROOKLINE, Mass. – Gaby Scarlett scored her first collegiate goal to lead Northeastern (2-2-1, 0-0-0 CAA) in a 1-0 win over Rhode Island (0-4-0, 0-0-0 Atlantic 10) on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field. The Huskies outshot the Rams, 10-5.
 
Scarlett's goal came early in the first half off a long ball from fellow freshman, Rose Kaefer. Scarlett beat URI's goalkeeper and had a wide-open shot to carefully place the ball in the back of the net. Ashley Reuter and Mikenna McManus each posted two shots as well.
 
Angeline Friel made three saves for the Huskies.
 
Northeastern will face to the University of Delaware on Sunday March 14 at Parsons Field for their first CAA conference match of the season.
