STORRS, Conn.— Behind a three-point day from senior forward
Katy Knoll, the Northeastern women's hockey team downed No. 15 UConn, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Freitas Ice Forum.

Alina Mueller tallied her 200
th career point against UConn off an assist on
Maureen Murphy's goal. Mueller is just the third player in program history to register 200 points, joining Hillary Witt and Kendall Coyne Schofield.
- Connecticut's Camryn Wong potted the first goal of the game at the 15:49 mark in the first period.
- Graduate student forward Maureen Murphy responded for Northeastern with a tally of her own with just over five minutes remaining in the first.
- Northeastern erupted for three goals in the second period, with two from Knoll and one from sophomore forward Taze Thompson. Thompson's goal marked her first as Husky and Knoll potted her two goals just 2:47 apart.
- Sophomore forward Skylar Irving had a three-point night of her own with three assists on the night.
- Northeastern outshot UConn, 41-17 overall and held them to just three shots in the second frame.
- Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips finished with 16 saves in her fourth win of the season.
Northeastern will next face Merrimack for a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Oct. 14 with a 6 p.m. game in North Andover.
