AMESBURY, Mass. — Sophomore
Justin Hryckowian of the Northeastern men's hockey team was named the Hockey East Player of the Month for November, as announced on Tuesday.
In the month of November, Hryckowian tallied six goals and seven assists for 13 points in seven games played, recording six multiple-point nights. His three game-winning goals lead all of Hockey East and were tied for second in the NCAA.
In the Husky's series against New Hampshire, he recorded his first career hat trick in route to a four-point night (3g, 1a) before following up in game two with two goals for a six-point series. Hryckowian earned Hockey East Player of the Week honors following the series.
Hryckowian continues to lead both the nation and the Hockey East conference in faceoff wins this season with 221 and 162, respectively, with his season-high (23) coming in game two against Boston University. He is also tied for the lead in Hockey East, with teammate Aidan McDonough, in scoring with 17 points and is tied for first in goals (9).
Additionally, Hryckowian is currently on a four-game point streak with six points (2g, 4a).
