AMESBURY, Mass. - Three members of the Northeastern men's ice hockey team have been named Hockey East First Team All-Stars ahead of the quarterfinal contests this coming Saturday. Individual award winners from Wednesday
Devon Levi and
Jordan Harris, along with top goal-scorer
Aidan McDonough have been named first team All-Stars, with
Devon Levi's appearance on that list earning him Goaltender of the Year honors.
The three selections to the First Team All-Star roster is the most by Northeastern since the 2017-18 season when four Huskies appeared on the list.
Devon Levi - Sophomore, Goaltender - Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Year, First Team All-Star
- Devon Levi started in 19 Hockey East games for the Huskies this year with a 12-6-1 record, making 588 saves and allowing 30 goals (.951 save%, 1.64 GAA). He posted five shutouts in conference play.Â
- His overall numbers (.953 sv%, 1.45 GAA, 10 shutouts) led Hockey East.
- Levi makes the First Team in his first season of collegiate play after missing his freshman season due to injury - he was also a unanimous decision to the All-Rookie team, announced this past Wednesday.
- His selection to the first team also earns him Goaltender of the Year honors, the first NU netminder to win the award since Cayden Primeau won the title back to back in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
Jordan Harris - Senior, Defenseman - First Team All-Star
- Northeastern's captain appeared in all 24 conference games, accumulating five goals and nine assists for 14 points (fourth-most on the team in Hockey East play).
- The blue-liner blocked a team-high 46 shots and finished +14 on the year in conference play.
- His one game-winning goal on the year came in conference play.
- He's the first NU defenseman to make the first team since 2018-19's Jeremy Davies.
- This comes after he was named the Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman earlier this week. Harris was named a Second Team All-Star in the 2020-21 season.
Aidan McDonough - Junior, Forward - First Team All-Star
- Serving as assistant captain, McDonough appeared in all 24 conference games for the Huskies.
- Led the team in scoring with 16 goals and nine assists for 25 points in Hockey East play.
- His 16 goals was the most by any other Hockey East player in conference play this season.
- Of his 16 goals, six of them kicked off the game as the first goal, three counted as game-winners and four came on the power play. All four stats lead the team.
- This is McDonough's second straight season earning a postseason accolade, being named one of the Three Stars Award winners in a three-way tie last season.
The Huskies claimed the Hockey East regular season title for the first time in program history, and will be the #1 seed in the Hockey East tournament. They will face #8-seeded Boston College in their quarterfinal matchup this Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Matthews Arena. Tickets for the general public are
