Korczynski, Duggan Lead the Way as Huskies Sweep Suffolk Short Course

 

BOSTON – Senior Alexander Korczynski and junior Ava Duggan both earned first-place as the men swept the top five finishes and the women took the top four in the Suffolk Short Course Classic today at Franklin Park. 

Men 

  • Korczynski finished with a time of 15:07.7 and was followed by Matthew Schaefer (15:22.4), Ben Godish (15:28.1), Patrick Mullen (15:40.7), and Patrick Cullen (15:41.5) to round out the perfect score of 15 and the first-place finish with an average time of 15:28.  

  • Dylan Manning secured a top-ten result, finishing ninth with a time of 15:58.5, while Anders Narita crossed the line in 12 th with a time of 16:07.0. 

  • More finishes from the Huskies inside the top 20 included Noah Mooney (16:09.8), Cyrus Kurd (16:10.7), Malav Mehta (16:13.3) and Daniel Caso (16:14.5). 

  • Rounding it out for Northeastern was James Pothier (16:26.5), Joseph Thumann (16:36.7), and two freshman in their first race between Kyle Sarney (16:42.0) and Ryan Dailor (17:02.1). 

Women 

The Huskies will compete again in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Sep. 23 at Franklin Park.
