NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.— The No. 7 Northeastern women's hockey team fell to the Merrimack College Warriors, 1-0, on Friday night at Lawler Rink.
- Northeastern was held scoreless for the first time this season, as Merrimack's lone goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.
- The Huskies outshot the Warriors, 29-14. Fifth year Katy Knoll and senior Lily Yovetich led all players with four shots each. Yovetich skated in her 100th career game against the Warriors.
- Fifth year netminder Gwyneth Philips made 13 saves in net.
Northeastern will next head to the Ice Breaker Tournament hosted by Sacred Heart to take on No. 14/15 St. Cloud State on Friday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m.
