CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Junior
Hannah Seward earned two wins and sophomore diver
Jodi Au won the 3M Dive, but Northeastern Huskies swim and dive team (0-1) fell 159-138 to the MIT Engineers (1-0) Friday night at Zesinger Center Pool.
- Seward championed both the 100 Fly and 200 Fly, swimming times of 56.16 and 2:09.32, respectively.
- Au's score of 238.65 was enough to earn her a win in the 3M Dive, and she was followed by senior captain Lizzie Meschisen, who finished third with a score of 235.30.
- The Huskies had the top three finishers in the 100 Fly, as freshmen May Bradburn and Mary Nordmann finished second and third, respectively, with times of 56.63 and 56.82.
- Senior captain Grace Miller took home first place in the 200 Free with a time of 1:55.37 and finished second in the 500 Free, finishing just .16 seconds behind the winner and swimming to a time of 5:08.27.
- In the 1000 Free, freshman Bella Busconi swam a 10:38.56, besting the next-best swimmer by 24 seconds.
Next up, the Huskies return to Barletta Natatorium as they take on UConn Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. That matchup will be streaming on FloSports.
