POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE

NEW HAVEN, Conn.— Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips tallied a career-high 38 saves to lead the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-1 win over the No. 4 Yale Bulldogs in the NCAA Quarterfinals. With the victory, Northeastern advances to its third-straight Frozen Four.
 
Graduate students Chloé Aurard, Alina Mueller and Maureen Murphy all notched multi-point efforts. Aurard potted the game-winner, while also tallying an assist.

• The two teams skated through a scoreless first period. Freshman Lily Shannon struck first with her sixth goal of the season at the 4:22 mark of the second period. Shannon's goal was assisted by sophomore Skylar Irving.
• The Huskies erupted in the third for a three-goal period. Aurard got the eventual game-winner just over two minutes into the final frame with assists from senior Megan Carter and Mueller.
• Mueller lit the lamp at the 9:37 mark to push the score to 3-0. Her linemates, Aurard and Murphy, each picked up an assist.
• Yale was able to get on the scoreboard at the 15:22 mark, but the Bulldogs would get no closer. Murphy sealed the game with an empty-net shorthanded goal to bring the final score to 4-1.

Northeastern will advance to the Frozen Four held in Duluth, Minn. at Minnesota Duluth's campus from March 17-19.
