WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Northeastern men's soccer team (3-2-2, 1-1-1) suffered its first road loss and first CAA loss of the season, falling to William & Mary (2-4-1, 1-1-0) on Saturday afternoon at Martin Family Stadium.
- The Huskies were the first to produce a scoring chance with two shots on goal in the first half, one in the opening minute. William & Mary responded with a shot on target late in the half that was saved by Gregor Shaw.
- After half time William & Mary stepped up the pressure with two more shots on target, one that found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
- Northeastern tried to get one back in the final 20 minutes but were unable to convert.
- The Tribe ended the contest leading in overall shots 10-6, and taking four corner kicks to Northeastern's one.
- The loss ends a four game unbeaten streak for Northeastern which dated back to September 2nd against UNCW.
The Huskies will have the midweek off and return home next Saturday, September 23 to host Stony Brook at Parsons Field in Brookline. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. and will stream on FloFC.
