BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team skated to a 2-2 draw with the No. 6 Maine Black Bears in the final game of their home weekend series.

• Everything finally clicked into place as NU netted the first goal of the game just 2:04 into the opening period. Junior Nick Rhéaume netted his first goal as a Husky off a great setup from junior Vinny Borgesi and freshman Griffin Erdman, who collected his first collegiate point with the helper.
• The Huskies extended their lead, 2-0, with another early period goal to start the middle frame. With only 1:40 off the clock, junior Cam Lund found himself on a breakaway for his fourth goal in as many games. Sophomore Dylan Hryckowian and junior Jack Williams tacked on the assists.
• Despite the advantage, the Black Bears would go on to score two unanswered goals through the remainder of the game, sending the contest to overtime.
• Both teams were unable to convert in extra time. Northeastern came out strong and was the dominate team in overtime, but Maine finished with the shootout victory.
• Jack Williams once again led both programs with 15 faceoff wins. Freshmen Griffin Erdman and Jack Henry led all skaters with three blocks each.

The Huskies are on a bye week ahead before a home-and-home series with Providence College on Nov. 8-9.
