PRINCETON, N.J. — Junior diver
Erin Murphy capped off her stellar season at the 2024 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12 at Princeton University, qualifying for the finals in the 1M Dive.
Of a field of 81 divers, Murphy finished 18th in the preliminary round Monday, qualifying for the finals that night with a score of 252.50. She became the first Husky diver to qualify for a Zone A final since Adela Gavozdea made it past the preliminary round in 2005. Murphy finished 16th in the 1M Dive after the final, posting a cumulative score of 512.40.
In the 3M Dive, the Duxbury, Massachusetts native recorded the highest score of any CAA diver, finishing 28th with a 250.15 award. She was also the only CAA diver to qualify for the 1M final.
Murphy finishes off a year in which she won CAA Diver of the Week five times, was the CAA Championships Diver of the Meet and swept the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the CAA Championships, claiming the first diving gold medals at the CAA Championships in Northeastern history.
