- Both sides skated through two scoreless periods with UConn holding a slight 23-19 edge in shots on goal.
- In the third period, Northeastern was whistled for two penalties back-to-back, and then a five-minute major and a game misconduct was issued to graduate student Megan Carter. NU successfully killed almost seven consecutive minutes of power-play action for UConn, including two minutes of a 5-on-3. The game would head to overtime at the conclusion of the third.
- With 35 seconds remaining in overtime, Megan Woodworth scored to give UConn a 1-0 victory.
The Huskies end their season with a 25-11-3 record.
