ST. PAUL— Megan Carter,
Gwyneth Philips and
Katy Knoll of the Northeastern women's hockey team were all selected in the 2024 Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) draft on Monday night at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul.

Carter, the captain of the 2023-24 squad, was the first Husky off the board, being drafted by PWHL Toronto in the second round with the 12
th overall pick. A Milton, Ontario native, Carter will return to her native Canada after posting 86 points in 165 games for the Huskies.

The first goaltender selected in the draft, Philips was taken 14
th overall in the third round by PWHL Ottawa. Philips finished her career with an NCAA record .958 career save percentage.

The Amherst, N.Y. native, Knoll was selected by PWHL Minnesota with the 39
th overall pick in the seventh round. Knoll posted 131 career points in 177 games in the Red & Black.

The trio leave Northeastern for the professional league after helping the Huskies to three trips to the Frozen Four, four Hockey East Championships and three Beanpot Championships. Carter, Philips and Knoll will join 10 Huskies who made rosters in the inaugural season of the PWHL in 2023-24.
