BOSTON— Led by
Eliza Teplow's five saves in goal, the Northeastern women's soccer team tied with Boston University, 1-1, in the Huskies' season opener on Sunday night at Nickerson Field.
- Boston University opened the scoring in the 36th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- The Huskies responded in the second half, with Jessie Hunt recording her first goal of the season to make it 1-1 in the 67th minute. Â Hunt was denied from the penalty spot initially, but followed up her initial shot to put home NU's first goal of the season.
- Making her first start in goal this season, Teplow's five saves marked a career-high for the sophomore.
Northeastern will next head to California to face San Francisco on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. (ET).
