Huskies Battle Saints To 0-0 Draw

BROOKLINE, Mass. – In a Sunday afternoon contest at Parsons Field, the Northeastern Huskies (0-1-2) and the Siena Saints (0-1-2) played to a scoreless draw in their non-conference match up. Northeastern goalkeeper Tobias Jahn made five saves in the shutout effort.

  • Siena had an early chance to break the stalemate but a diving save by Tobias Jahn in the third minute of play halted what would end up being Siena's best chance of the afternoon.
  • The Saints held the Huskies to just two shots per half, as NU was out shot 11-4 in the contest.
  • Northeastern's best chance came on a free kick opportunity in a dangerous area, right on the line of the 18-yard box, but the kick was blocked by the wall and out.
  • The Saints earned five corners in the contest to the Huskies' three – Siena had four corners in the second half but the NU defense snuffed out the danger.
  • Jahn's shutout is his first as a Husky, and the 13th of his career. He's up to 17 saves on the season through three games.

The Huskies remain at home for their first conference match this Saturday, September 7th at Parsons Field against the Campbell Camels. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. on FloFC and NESN+
