BROOKLINE, Mass. – In a Sunday afternoon contest at Parsons Field, the Northeastern Huskies (0-1-2) and the Siena Saints (0-1-2) played to a scoreless draw in their non-conference match up. Northeastern goalkeeper
Tobias Jahn made five saves in the shutout effort.
- Siena had an early chance to break the stalemate but a diving save by Tobias Jahn in the third minute of play halted what would end up being Siena's best chance of the afternoon.
- The Saints held the Huskies to just two shots per half, as NU was out shot 11-4 in the contest.
- Northeastern's best chance came on a free kick opportunity in a dangerous area, right on the line of the 18-yard box, but the kick was blocked by the wall and out.
- The Saints earned five corners in the contest to the Huskies' three – Siena had four corners in the second half but the NU defense snuffed out the danger.
- Jahn's shutout is his first as a Husky, and the 13th of his career. He's up to 17 saves on the season through three games.
The Huskies remain at home for their first conference match this Saturday, September 7
th at Parsons Field against the Campbell Camels. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. on FloFC and NESN+
