LOWELL, Mass. – In a midweek non-conference contest, the Northeastern Huskies (1-4-4) and the UMass Lowell Riverhawks (5-1-3) played to a 0-0 draw at Cushing Field on Tuesday evening.
 

• Both teams tallied five shots in the opening half – Northeastern's best two scoring chances in the half came in the 19^th minute, when a midfield turnover resulted in a Tomas Sciarra chance that was saved, and in the 35^th when Sebastian Restrepo got the ball in the box but defensive pressure forced the shot out for a goal kick.
• A great build-up in the 52^nd minute ended with Restrepo getting space in the box to shoot, but his curling shot was just barely tipped away by the Lowell keeper.
• The Huskies earned a free kick in threatening position in the 79^th minute, with Morris Matthews bypassing the wall with a low sharp pass which found Kade Tepe charging into the box, but his shot was saved.
• NU ended the game with a 5-4 shot-on-goal advantage, after earning three corner kicks in the second half.
• Northeastern handed UMass Lowell, a team averaging 1.8 goals per game, its first shutout of the season. Goalkeeper Colby Hegarty made four saves in his second shutout of the season.
