HAMDEN, Conn.— The No. 12 Northeastern women's hockey team dropped to the No. 7 Quinnipiac Bobcats, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at M&T Bank Arena.
- Neither side found the back of the net through the first frame, with Northeastern holding an 11-7 edge in shots on goal.
- Sophomore Éloïse Caron broke through first, scoring her second goal of the weekend to give NU a 1-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by senior Jules Constantinople.
- The Bobcats then tied the game at 1-1 at the 7:02 mark of the second period. Junior Allie Lalonde potted her first goal of the season to take back the lead for the Huskies at 2-1. Her goal was assisted by sophomore Tuva Kandell.
- In the third period, QU went on to score three unanswered goals including one empty-netter to ice the game and win, 4-2.
- Freshman netminder Renna Trembecky made just her second start and posted a career-high 36 saves.
Northeastern has a bye weekend and will next travel to face No. 13 Boston University on Friday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m.
